THE NEW LEAF COALITION MISSION
New Leaf Coalition is a non-profit, tax-exempt membership organization that was formed to help Returning Citizens reintegrate into their communities and avoid reincarceration. The Coalition seeks to carry out this mission by:
- Co-sponsoring workshops and training programs on Financial Literacy, Entrepreneurship, Self-Employment and other topics that help Returning Citizens attain financial security and stability; and
- Establishing the required “Field of Membership” for the proposed New Leaf Federal Credit Union, a Federally-chartered entity that will be focused on meeting the unique financial needs of Returning Citizens and their families.
