Melvin Lowe

Mr. Lowe, along with Jake O-Hara, is the Co-Founder of the New Leaf Coalition and the Returning Citizen’s Society – both of which are dedicated to assisting and facilitating the successful re-entry, reintegration and re-engagement of Returning Citizens to their communities. He is also a Managing Director at Political Analyses, Strategies and Solutions, a political consulting firm that provides a wide array of services to candidates for public office, elected and appointed officials, political action committees, political parties, unions and trade associations, and companies that interact with the public sector. In addition, Mr. Lowe has a Certificate in Non-Profit Management from Columbia University Business School – and is currently enrolled in Columbia University’s Justice in Education Program where he is studying for a professional degree in Human Rights.  

 

Chikezie Onyenso, M.D.

Dr. Onyenso is the Co-Founder of ReMDAS, LLC, a physician-patient engagement portal that helps patients to access quality care more efficiently.  Prior to creating ReMDAS, Dr. Onyenso was a primary care physician for over 20 years, focusing on internal medicine and pediatrics in the underserved community of Irvington, NJ and surrounding counties. He holds a Graduate Medical Degree from the College of Medicine at the University of Lagos, Nigeria. He completed his residency training in Medicine and Pediatrics in 1995 at the Seton Hall University School of Graduate Medical Education/ University of Medicine and Dentistry, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, Newark, NJ. He is a certified member of the American Board of Internal Medicine.

 

Candy Vives-Vasquez

Ms. Vives-Vazquez has been the Executive Director of East Harlem’s 116th Street Block Association for 14 years. Her expertise in community and housing development has led to the creation of several affordable/low-income housing opportunities in East Harlem for multicultural families and senior citizens. She leveraged over $18 million invested into securing housing choice vouchers for Section 8 based units. She is a member of Community Board 11, as well as a member of the City Properties and Land Use/Zoning, and Housing Committees.
